: The Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Sequence was created by Pattabhi Jois in 1948 at his research center in Mysore, India.  His sequence and legacy helped establish much of the modern Yoga experience.  The 1.45 hours long class is designed to be focused and vigorous, yet steady enough for beginners. Students should be prepared for a serious environment requiring physical and mental focus
